A 45-year-old woman who has been wanted for theft in Luzon was arrested in Davao City.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant for qualified theft issued by a court in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

From Luzon, authorities found out that the suspect arrived in Davao City on February 10, 2025.

“Kapag mainit siya sa NCR and Cavite, is pumupunta po siya sa Davao City sa kanyang ka-live-in partner para magpahinga at bumalik kapag lumamig na ang sitwasyon. Upon verification, positive na siya talaga ang suspek natin, meron tayong info na gumagamit siya ng fictitious names,” Talomo Police Station Chief, Major Genesis Oriel, said.

Authorities said the modus of the suspect is to apply as house helper using different names and fake documents.

Police added that once she gains the trust of her employer, she would then commit the crime.

“Ang dami niyang ninakawan, more or less 20 ang reklamo nacheck po natin sa NCR at Cavite. Ang ninanakaw po niya is usually, cellphone, gadgets, laptops, relo, alahas at pera,” Oriel added.

The suspect will be brought to Cavite to face the court.
