Supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte across Mindanao continued to demonstrate their support to the country’s former leader through prayer rallies, motorcade, candle lighting, and noise barrage, among others.

More than 1,200 fire volunteers and members of motorcycle groups and Muslim community held a motorcade in Davao City morning on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

“Tay andito lang kami, di ka namin iiwan. Mabuti kasi siyang tao. Dili mi muundang kung kinahanglan namo ni adlaw-adlawon hangtod sa madungog ang among singgit nga iuli na tawon ang amoang amahan,” Davao Firefighters and Rescue Services Chief, Richard Fernandez, Jr., said.

Some Muslim fire volunteers also expressed their support.

“Kami nga mga responders sa Bangsamoro nga naa diri karon naghatag gyud mi og full support sa atong former president nga si tatay Digong,” Bangsamoro fire volunteer, Yonos Landas, said.

More than 1,000 riders from Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental also conducted a “unity ride.”

“Sa mga riders, usa na diha nga among license kay 10 years na mao na ang among pinaka-utang na loob kang Duterte,” rider, Bhoyen Borja, said.

Supporters in Zamboanga City lit candles and held a noise barrage at the Freedom Park.

In Kidapawan City, supporters sang "Oras Na" to express their support to the former president. They also lit candles and offered prayers at the Town Plaza.

Motorists in Cotabato also held a noise barrage along the national highway in Pikit town.

Supporters in Polomolok, South Cotabato formed an acronym “FPRRD” (Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) on the ground using the lit candles during the prayer rally.

Prayer rallies and other activities were also conducted in Butuan City; Valencia City and Malaybalay City in Bukidnon; Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay; Surigao City; Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur; Pagadian City; Panabo City and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte; Davao de Oro; Malita, Davao Occidental; and Bansalan, Davao del Sur.

Duterte was arrested on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, by virtue of a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity in connection with the killings during his administration's war against illegal drugs.

He has already entered the Hague Penitentiary Institution or the Scheveningen Prison in the Netherlands where he is set to be held while awaiting trial.
