A 59-year-old security guard was shot dead while resting in a hammock in Bangkal, Davao City.
According to the victim’s colleague, he saw the victim with a wound in the face after hearing gunshots.
The victim did not reach the hospital alive.
Some witnesses also saw the suspect fleeing the area on board a motorcycle.
Authorities recovered 12 empty shells from a 9mm pistol from the crime scene.
Police are investigating the incident to identify the assailant and determine the motive.
