A suspected drug pusher tagged as a high-value target was arrested under the Abacan Bridge in Barangay Ninoy Aquino, Angeles City. Authorities also seized over P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu during the operation.

The suspect, known by the alias “Gilagid,” is a 43-year-old resident of Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac, Pampanga.

He had long been under surveillance as part of the intensified anti-drug campaign in Central Luzon.

Police recovered around 255 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P1,734,000, from the suspect during the operation around 9 p.m.

The suspect is now detained at Police Station 6 and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

He has yet to issue a statement.
