Approximately 12,000 teachers in Central Visayas under the Department of Education (DepEd) will serve in the May 12, 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).
According to Dr. Salustiano Jimenez, regional director of DepEd 7, the teachers are now prepared for election day.
Of the given figure, over 500 will serve in the Electoral Boards (EBs) while the rest will serve as support staff.
Jimenez has reminded the teachers to remain non-partisan, and to be prudent when posting on their social media platforms about the elections.
