The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Central Visayas is "90-percent ready" for the May 12, 2025 midterm elections, as of Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

COMELEC 7 Director, Atty. Francisco Pobe, disclosed of the smooth flow in their preparations for the national and local elections. The arrival of ACMs is deemed completed on April 29, 2025.

It is likely the distribution can start by April 30, 2025 at the office of COMELEC 7, this was learned from Pobe.

COMELEC 7 assured that the ACMs are secured under the watch of the police, and underscored that they will not use the service vehicles from local government units and barangays to transport the ACMs.

Pobe pointed out they want to avoid issues as there are incumbent officials of LGUs seeking reelection.

Based on guidelines, the only government vehicles that COMELEC can use are those from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Public Works and Highways, and other government agencies not connected with candidates.

COMELEC 7 will rent vehicles in the transport of election equipment and paraphernalia.

On the other hand, the Department of Energy (DOE) has vowed there is ample supply of electric power during the elections.

Engr. William Carido, supervisor of the Energy Industry Management Division, DOE Visayas Field Office, no maintenance works will be scheduled to ensure supply of electric power on election day.
