The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has activated the Regional Election Monitoring and Action Center (REMAC) to address concerns related to the 2025 national and local elections on Monday, May 12, 2025.

REMAC features an on-ground and real-time monitoring system covering all strategic areas in five provinces across the region.

PRO-10 said police officers assigned to voting centers and areas of concern will also use the same technology.

“Kung gikinahanglan ang live monitoring pwede kana atong mahimo kay aduna sab tay election monitoring system,” PRO-10 Spokesperson, Major Joann Navarro, said.

Police are closely monitoring one area in Lanao del Norte due to intense political rivalry and violent incidents in the previous elections.

PRO-10 has already deployed more than 9,000 personnel to secure the region during the election period.

“Dako kaayo ni nga tabang as to crime prevention and crime solution mas makita nato kung asa nato strategically ma-deploy ang atong kapulisan kung asa ang tagaan nato ug more personnel labi na katong crime prone areas,” Navarro added.
