For the first time in Iloilo City, three women won top elective positions.
Reelected Iloilo City Lone District Representative Julienne Baronda, Mayor-elect Raisa Treñas-Chu, while Vice Mayor-elect Love-Love Baronda were proclaimed on May 13, 2025.
“Ang mga residente ang nanindigan, ang kanilang pagmamahal kay Cong. Jam ay nangibabaw. At yan ay nakita natin sa almost 178,000 na kanilang ipinakita kay Cong. Jam,” Congresswoman Julienne "Jam-Jam" Baronda said.
“Gusto naman nila ng fresh ideas, fresh perspective. So rest assured na magwo-work kami together not just only for the betterment ng aming mga office but the whole of Iloilo City,” Vice Mayor-elect Love-Love Baronda said.
The 11 winning city councilors who were also proclaimed are: Sedfrey Cabaluna, Miguel Treñas, Rex Sarabia, Alan Zaldivar, Lyndon Acap, Nene de la Llana, Mandrie Malabor, Johnny Young, Romel Duron, Rudolph Ganzon, and Fances Grace Parcon.
“As of now parang hindi pa nagsi-sink in ngunit nang bumaba tayo kanina, naramdaman ko ang suporta at mainit na pagtanggap sa akin,” Treñas-Chu, the new mayor, said.
Earlier, the proclamation was delayed due to Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) malfunction in three polling precincts in Barangay Ingore, La Paz District; Tanza Timawa, City Proper, and Santo Niño Sur, Arevalo District.
The glitch halted the canvassing evening on May 12, 2025, and resumed by 10 a.m. on May 13, 2025.
