Four people were injured in a road crash involving a delivery van, a passenger van, a mini truck, and a car in Aleosan, Cotabato.

Based on investigation, the delivery van and the passenger van were traveling in opposite directions. As the delivery van approached a curve, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

Upon braking, the delivery van encroached the lane of the passenger van, which resulted in the collision.

Due to the impact, the delivery van spun around and its rear end hit the car behind it. Fortunately, the driver of the car, who was alone at that time, was unharmed.

Meanwhile, the passenger van also crashed into the rear of a parked mini-truck.

The delivery van had to be pulled by a rope tied to a large truck to free the 31-year-old driver, who was pinned during the incident.

Authorities said the driver and another passenger of the delivery van, as well as the 56-year-old driver of the passenger van and his wife, were all rushed to the hospital due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

Police are still waiting for a settlement from the parties involved in the incident.

Authorities remind all motorists anew to stay alert and cautious when driving.
