Classes are suspended in the Province of Davao Oriental after a magnitude 7.4 offshore earthquake struck Manay town Friday, October 10, 2025. 

Classes are suspended also in several Local Government Units in Cebu Province, in Lapu-Lapu City, Iloilo City, and other LGUs immediately on Friday.

For Iloilo City Hall, the Office of the Building Official, City Engineer’s Office, and Facility Conservation Office are conducting structural inspections of the building and facilities before allowing the entry of employees and clients, as of posting time.

MARAMAG, BUKIDNON 

Classes in all public and private schools, colleges, and universities within the Municipality of Maramag, Province of Bukidnon are suspended starting 12:00 noon on October 10, 2025 only. This suspension covers all educational levels:/ Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior and Senior High School, and College.

PHIVOLCS first recorded the quake at magnitude 7.6 but downgraded it to 7.5 and later to 7.4.
