Despite sending in the smallest number of delegates to the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVRAA) Meet 2024 hosted by Cebu City, the Province of Siquijor copped two gold medals on May 8, 2024.
The Division of Siquijor secured a gold medal in javelin throw through Hazel Mae Gapol in the regular sports, and another gold for shotput in athletics through Angel Rose Bolingkit.
Bolingkit also garnered a silver medal in another category.
In an interview with Department of Education Siquijor Schools Division Superintendent Rosalie Pasaol, she said she is overjoyed at the haul of two golds since she hoped for at least one.
