An estimated 3,500 athletes, coaches, and other personnel are expected to join the biggest annual sporting event of state universities in Western Visayas, the Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) Sports Festival 2024.

The event is set from December 15 to 20, 2024, to be hosted by the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) in Barotac Nuevo town, Province of Iloilo.

At least 13 state universities will compete in 42 sporting events in different venues.

Miss Universe Iloilo City Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks, a multi-awarded athlete, will grace the opening rites. 

“We hope that together in six days, we will taste, smell, and feel the welcoming spirit of the Ilonggos. Please come join us and also feel the fun and let’s promote peace and inclusivity, and wellbeing through sports,” Dr. Herman Lagon, public relations chairperson of RSCUAA, said.
