The family and supporters of former Senator Manny Pacquiao are rallying behind him as he prepares for his much-anticipated return to the boxing ring in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 19, 2025.

Pacquiao is set to face WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand.

It can be recalled that the world boxing champion has not fought regularly since he entered politics in 2010.

For many fans, this comeback is a long-awaited moment.

“Gimingaw man gud ko sa away ni Pacquiao kay dugay naman siya wala ka away kay usa ko ka supporter,” Pacquiao supporter, Rustykier Abalos, said.

Among those excited is his mother, Mommy Dionisia, who said she is already including Pacquiao’s victory in her daily prayers.

“Walang iba ipagdasal gyud. Ipagdasal lang para Manalo,” Mommy Dionisio said.

Pacquiao’s sibling said he remains active and his stamina for boxing is still strong. They are hopeful, saying there is a high possibility that he will win the fight.

“Sa determinasyon niya, sa passion niya as a boxer, willing pa gyud sya muduwa nu. Nakita nako bilang igsuon , kung unsa siya ka kondisyon. Makita natu ang iyang resistensya, kaya pa gyud niya,” Bobby Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao last saw action in 2021 when he dropped a unanimous decision loss to Yordenis Ugas. He only figured in a couple of exhibitions since that fateful night, raising concerns from both fans and industry insiders about his comeback.

Pacquiao, 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts, arrived in the USA in May to train with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.
