There's no denying that Kyline Alcantara serves some of the fiercest makeup looks on Instagram with the help of her makeup artist, Rodolfo Sitchon.

She was invited as a guest speaker for Cosmo BEAUTYCON 2019 where she talked about her makeup journey and beauty routine.

Growing up, Kyline said that she didn't have any interest in cosmetics but she started dabbling in cosmetics when she started doing theater.

"Ako kasi, boyish ako. Hindi ako 'to. So 'nung nag-start lang ako mag-artista and mag-theater, kasi sa theater wala kaming makeup artists so we do our own makeup.

"Doon lang ako [nakaramdam] na parang gusto kong mag-experiment, I don't want to settle in one genre of makeup.

"I trust my glam team to do everything that they want na pasok pa rin siyempre pa rin sa'kin because I'm still young.

"And yeah, I'm still young so I want to experiment but there's no such thing as 'You're too old to experiment on your beauty.'"

But when it comes to her bolder beauty looks, how does Kyline muster the confidence to wear it with confidence and what's her advice for others who want to try experimenting with their look?

"You do you. Kung gusto mo ng light makeup, go, kung gusto mo ng dark makeup, full glam, just do you.

"Kumbaga, ang importante lang talaga if you're going to experiment is you need confidence sa sarili mo.

"Being confident doesn't mean like you walk in a room na parang 'I'm better than this.'

"Being confident means papasok ka sa kwarto na parang 'Hindi ko kailangan i-compare 'yung sarili ko sa ibang tao.'

"And in order for you to be confident, of course, you need to love yourself. And in order for you to love yourself, you need to know your creator which is God."
