Winwyn Marquez shares realizations on being a military reservist

Weeks after starting her Basic Citizen's Military Training, Glow Up host Winwyn Marquez said she's learned one valuable trait in life: discipline.

She explained during the Kapuso Brigade ZOOMustahan, “I know this will sound a bit weird pero you don't need the motivation to have discipline.

“Kumbaga kung alam mo sa sarili mo na disiplinado ka, alam mong mapupuntahan mo 'yung goal mo. Kasi if you have motivation, yeah it will push you and give you strength, given naman 'yon.

“But if you don't have the discipline, pwedeng mag-left or right 'yung direction mo, e. So 'yung goal mo, mas matagal mong mari-reach.”

Winwyn added that reaching out to her superiors helped her incorporate "discipline" into her routine.

“Nung sumali ako sa training and I spoke to a lot of officers, I realized na discipline is really, really important para isang straight line ka lang at hindi ka talaga ma-distract sa pupuntahan mo.

“Mas tumaas 'yung knowledge ko about discipline.

“I don't know if it makes sense pero mas binibigyan ko na siya ng pansin para sa sarili ko pati na sa mga tao sa bahay. Discipline is a big factor so as much as possible I tell them about that.”
