Ruru Madrid reveals if he's ever ghosted someone
Kapuso artist of the month Ruru Madrid has an image of being a ladies' man, but the 21-year-old actor said he's traditional when it comes to courtship and dating.
He said he prefers the “traditional” way of getting to know a girl--from visiting her home to doing a harana.
Despite being a gentleman, he has found himself in a complicated situation where he realized his feelings for a girl lessened after their first date.
He said, “Meron ako dating sobrang trip na girl, ako kasi 'yung tipong gusto ko na-chachallenge ako kapag nanliligaw.
“I mean, 'yung mahihirapan ako, may pa-hard-to-get na factor.
“Then, nung nag-date na kami, first date pa lang namin, nag-I love you siya sa 'kin!” he said in disbelief.
“Siya 'yung nauna, bilang lalaki ako gusto ko ako 'yung mauuna. First date pa lang namin.”
“Sabi niya, 'Take care, babe. I love you.' Sabi ko, 'Okay.'
“Hindi ko binalik, para sa akin kasi 'yung salitang I love you ang sacred nun, sasabihin ko lang siya kung alam kong perfect timing.
“After nun, wala, hindi ko na muna siya kinausap.
Most guys in his shoes would probably “ghost” or suddenly cut off all communication with the other person to avoid confrontation.
But Ruru chose to take the high road and politely admit his change of heart.
“Of course not, hindi dapat,” Ruru answered, when asked about his thoughts on ghosting.
“Basta nag-stop na ako, pero nag-goodbye naman ako sa kanya nang maayos, pero nag-stop ako.”
Ruru also shared that though he does the traditional style of courting and dating a girl before officially being in a relationship, he believes some relationships are born out of feelings naturally developing over time.
“May mga relationship din kasi na walang ligawan pero nagiging kayo.”
How would he know they're already a couple? “Mafi-feel niyo na lang 'yan, many times na nangyayari 'yung ganun, nafi-feel niyo na lang, na tayo na pala,” he concluded.
