Christian Bautista to debut duet with Jessica Sanchez on 'Sunday PinaSaya'

Two world-class talents are set to come together in the pilot episode of Sunday PinaSaya this August 9.
Christian Bautista is honored to be able to record a song and share the stage with former American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez. The latter flew from Los Angeles to Manila to perform in the new Sunday noontime show, and a one-hour concert in City of Dreams later that night.
Asia’s Romantic Balladeer was amazed with how everything fell into place. He received a new song, he was in the United States, and Jessica happened to be free to record.
“It started with a phone call [from] the songwriter of my song ‘The Way You Look At Me’… [they] had [a song for me]… we called Jessica and she was available. Sakto lang talaga… I was there and everything just worked out. The studio was available, the [timing was great] and we made it happen,” he proudly said.
Upon being invited to debut the song in the first episode of Sunday PinaSaya, Jessica had no hesitations of flying to the Philippines.
“I was very excited. Me and Christian recorded that song in L.A. a couple months ago. It’s his new single… and we’ll be performing that on GMA on Sunday,” she said.
The part Filipina singer is always happy to be in the Philippines, and attributes much of her success to her Filipino fans.
“I’m just really, really happy to be back here in the Philippines. I love you guys so much. You guys are amazing. I would not be here without you guys. I love you so much and I hope to see you guys this Sunday,” she added.
