Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, still a certified Kapuso!

Yes, she is still a Kapuso!

Regine Velasquez Alcasid renewed her contract with the Kapuso Network today (January 4, 2016). The Asia’s Songbird is grateful that she was given a break to be with her son and says that it’s about time to go back to serious work.

“I’m grateful to all my bosses because I was given enough time to be with my son. I’m very happy about that.” says Regine after the contract-signing.

For this year she will be showing her comedic side with a musical variety show and a light comedy soap. She also says that she is more interested in roles that are appropriate for her four-year-old son, Nate, to watch.

Regine explains that she never planned to leave the network and that she has always been loyal to GMA. Kapuso Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L.Gozon also adds that he has a good relationship with the multi-talented star.

As for her music, Regine says she has a concert in February and will be recording some new tracks. It seems like an exciting year ahead for the Sarap Diva.
