Christian Bautista inks two-year contract with GMA Network

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista remains a Kapuso as he signed a two-year contract with GMA Network today, July 21.

Present at the contract signing were Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, SVP for Entertainment TV Lilybeth G. Rasonable, and Mr. Carlo Orosa, Christian's manager.

"I'm very happy to be with great people, great family, great support group. The last three years have been amazing [for] expanding and building my talent on acting and hosting," says Christian.

The singer-actor is currently playing the role of Apitong in Encantadia, and will soon be part of another Kapuso program.

"I'm so happy to be a part of Encantadia now, and a talent show in the works. We can't say what it is yet, but things are rolling. The engines are heating up, and we're ready to go."

He adds, "[I am] looking forward to hosting shows, dancing (laughs). Waiting for the next singing show, and whatever the channel feels na I am good for, I am ready for that."

Atty. Gozon is likewise happy that Christian is staying with the network for two more years.

"Tayo ay natutuwa na pumirma na naman sa atin si Christian, dahil hindi lamang tunay na Christian si Christian. Mahusay kumanta 'yan, marunong umakto. Kagabi lang napanood ko 'yung role niya sa Encantadia, magaling. So we consider ourselves lucky to have an actor like Christian in our station."
