A-list comedians renew their contract with GMA!
GMA-7 is the true home of the best comedians in the country.
In an event held at the GMA Network Center this Thursday afternoon, November 10, a-list comedians such as Sef Cadayona, Albert “Betong” Sumaya, Mike “Pekto” Nacua and John Feir renewed their respective contracts with the Kapuso network.
Present in the contract signing were GMA SVP for Entertainment Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable and GMA Artist Center AVP For Talent Imaging and Marketing Mr. Simoun Ferrer.
According to Rasonable's interview with Kapuso showbiz reporter Nelson Canlas, televiewers should expect more projects from these four talented comedians.
She said, “Sabi ko nga kanina pinakyaw ng GMA lahat ng magagaling na comedians nandito sa GMA Network. So, sobrang saya, nakita mo naman kapag ang contract signing kasama sila, ang ingay, ang saya, so happy thoughts.
“Alam naman natin lahat number one ang GMA sa comedy, so makakaasa sila na itong mga comedians, mga batikang comedians na ito they would see them in more comedy shows and even in mga soaps natin ng GMA.”
Bubble Gang star Sef Cadayona and Betong Sumaya expressed their gratitude for the immense trust given to them by the network.
“Siyempre iba kasi ‘yung alam mong pinagkatiwalaan ka uli ng GMA so sobrang [happy] it’s a humbling experience,” Betong said.
Sef also vowed to work harder to further hone his craft as an artist.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa tiwala na ibinigay. Ito ay magsisilbing inspirasyon sa amin para mas magtrabaho at pagandahin ‘yung craft namin, kasi naniniwala sila sa amin,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pepito Manaloto star John Feir was flattered when Rasonable described them as the best comedians in the country.
He said, “Eh kung ‘yun ang sa tingin nila maraming salamat at thank you for nare-recognize nila ng ganun. Basta ang importante sa akin napapasaya natin ang tao, okay na sa akin ‘yun.”
In addition, Mike “Pekto” Nacua is thrilled that he will remain a Kapuso artist.
“Kami po ay masayang-masaya na kami po ay na-renew dito sa GMA at pagbubutihan pa ho namin at sana ay magawa namin nang maayos pa at matawa pa kayo.”
