Kapuso actress Sunshine Dizon in a press statement yesterday, January 5, has announced that she will no longer pursue criminal complaints against her estranged husband, Timothy Tan.

GMA showbiz reporter Aubrey Carampel tweeted yesterday Ms. Dizon’s official statement regarding this matter.
According to Sunshine, filing criminal complaints against Tim will traumatize their children.
She said, “My decision to have the cases dismissed was the result of soul-searching on my part as well as an agreement between Tim and I that we would put our two children’s best interest above anything else.”
“I realized that pursuing criminal cases against their father could potentially traumatize my children and diminish their father’s stature in their eyes.”
But, Sunshine stressed that she has no intention to reconcile with Tim, but instead would seek to annul their marriage.
“I reiterate that Tim and I have not reconciled, but we are doing our best to be great parents… In fact, I am preparing to file a petition to have our marriage dissolved.”
“This is because I have not given up the fight for my own rights, and this fight I will continue in the proper venue at the proper time,”
