Christian Bautista handpicked by NCCA to sing ASEAN theme song

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista continues to make waves internationally.

Aside from his concerts in Southeast Asian countries, the Kapuso singer-actor was recently chosen by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to sing the Chairmanship theme song for the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). He posted the good news on his Instagram account.

"Now it can be officially revealed ... adding to @xtianbautista many achievements for ASEAN. The NCCA handpicks him to sing the Chairmanship music theme for the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN with an anthemic song composed by National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario and music by Josefino "Chino" Toledo. The song [titled] ASEAN Spirit will be used in all of ASEAN's events [and] meetings not just in the Philippines but in the 10 countries representing ASEAN," his manager, Carlo Orosa, mentioned in the caption.

Christian will also be part of the upcoming Philippine remake of My Love From The Star starring Jennylyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva.
