Aicelle Santos on renewing contract with GMA: 'You feel home, you feel safe'

Aicelle Santos inked a contract renewal with GMA Network today, May 30, at the GMA Network Executive Lounge. This year marks her 11th year as Kapuso.

The signing was attended by GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun Ferrer, GMA Entertainment TV Senior Vice President Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Co-manager and Stages Talent Group Head Carlo Orosa and Senior Talent Manager Joy Marcelo.

For her, 11 years in the network is a blessing and she is pleased to be able to add more years to the number.

“It’s family. Totoong nararamdaman mo 'yung pagmamahalan ng bawat isa sa trabaho – sa staff, with your bosses, and your co-singers and actors,” she said.

She likes that harmony, cooperation, and love are the foundation of their relationship as professionals and as friends.

“Harmoniously, you work together. Walang ‘mas magaling ako,’ ‘mas maganda ako.’ 'Yun 'yung atmosphere dito sa GMA. You feel home, you feel safe. That’s what being a Kapuso is,” she added.

Being in GMA has allowed her to expand her horizons, and continuously aspire for bigger dreams and work towards better things.

“Nag-mature [ako] sa pagkanta, sa pag-perform sa stage. Siguro 'yung dreams mo na dati ganito lang 'yung gusto mo, [like] gusto ko lang marinig 'yung kanta ko sa radyo. Habang tumatanda ka, marami ka palang gustong marating,” she concluded.
