Vlogger Wil Dasovich reveals he has cancer; hopes to reach 1M subscribers

By Gia Allana Soriano

YouTube Vlogger Wil Dasovich confirms he has cancer in an 11-minute video. It was previously revealed that he was suffering from internal bleeding due to a parasite that entered his body after possibly taking in contaminated food or water.

Despite his condition, Wil still hopes to inspire his audience. He narrated, "It's not the years in your life, but the life in your years that count."

He added, "Ask yourself, are you satisfied with the way you've lived your life and have you maximized your experiences? My answer to that question is yes. And that's why I'm content with my condition and the hardships I face. The other day [I] was diagnosed with cancer. As tough as it was to take that in, it's not gonna stop me from having fun, and being myself, and continuing to do what makes me happy."

In the same video, Wil added his speech at the largest social media awards in Asia - The Influence Asia Awards 2017 last April held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: "Don't let anyone bring you down, because there are so many negative people... who thought I was weird and stuff. But even if I'm an idiot, I'm an award-winning idiot now. So, thank you everyone. I love all of you."

Wil has been vlogging for almost two years, and he's deeply grateful to people who are continuously supporting him.

He said, "I'd like to thank everyone for all the support, and I truly love each and everyone of you. I'm overwhelmingly grateful for helping me get to this point in my life, and making it everything that it was. Making everything it is."

For those who are asking what they can do for him, he made this humble request: "The simplest thing you can do is I guess like this video, leave a comment, and share it. If you've never shared one of my videos, I guess you can watch this one. Just knowing that there's an audience who watch my content, it makes me feel like the happiest person on Earth."

Wil is hoping to still reach the one million mark in terms of subscribers, and has promised to keep on making content while he still can. He hopes that his videos would also inspire other people to live their lives to the fullest.
