EXCLUSIVE: Edgar Allan Guzman to play the role of mining expert in upcoming movie

Edgar Allan Guzman is excited about his movie comeback.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Dragon Lady actor Edgar Allan mentioned about his upcoming movie.

“Actually, may ginagawa ako pero hindi pa tapos, movie ko with Coleen Garcia under 360 Productions, sila 'yung nag-produce and i-distribute siya ng Viva.”

Edgar Allan said the movie will showcase his first onscreen pairing with Coleen Garcia, where they will be playing the role of lovers.

He also noted that the movie isn't an ordinary love story as it also tackles environmental issues.

“It's also a love story about nature and mining. So, nag-shoot kami sa Palawan, Rio Tuba.

“Ipapakita ng movie 'yung importance ng mining.

“Ang dating kasi sa ibang tao, nakakasira ang mining o pera-pera lang,” he said.

Playing the character of a mining expert is no easy role for Edgar Allan.

He also narrated the challenges he's faced and his preparations for the movie.

“Sobrang matalino ako rito, nerd ako sa movie, so lahat alam ko about mining and Rio Tuba.

“Mabait 'yung role ko rito. Ako 'yung boses ng movie, ako 'yung nag-e-explain sa characters ng importance ng mining sa Pilipinas.”

“Actually, mahirap kasi 'yung mga linya ko scientific 'tapos malalalim, so kailangan consistent ako na mabigkas ko siya ng hindi mukhang scripted.

“Siyempre, naghanda naman ako for that, inaral ko lang talaga 'yung role,” he added.

Edgar Allan said he's hoping the movie can be shown in cinemas within the year. “Hopefully, mapalabas na siya this year.”

The Kapuso actor last appeared in a Metro Manila Film Festival movie titled Deadma Walking in 2017.
