'Studio 7' artists share their impressions of New York

Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn artists Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Kyline Alcantara, Golden Cañedo, Betong Suamaya, and Alden Richards are ready to meet all the Kapuso abroad in New York.

But before they left for the "City that Never Sleeps," we asked them about what they think of the iconic city known for its vibrant atmosphere? Check out what they have to say:

“When I hear New York the first thing that comes to my mind is it's a city where you can be anything, do anything, and it [New York] never sleeps talaga,” Christian said.

Julie wants to experience everything New York has to offer that she's willing to skip on sleeping. “It's the city that never sleeps…it doesn't sleep, I won't sleep,” she candidly said.

Rayver has admired the city from Hollywood films shot in New York. He shared, “Para kang laging nasa series or movie, like Spider-Man or Marvel lahat 'yan ginawa sa New York nasa limelight talaga 'yung city.”

It's Kyline's first time in New York, and she's excited to see the city's energy. “Everything's fast, kahit 'yung mga tao. I'm ready to see it.”

From Cebu to Manila, now Golden is ready to take over New York City as it's also her first time to visit. “Feeling ko maganda siya so gusto ko talagang pumunta at ma-feel 'yung air ng New York.”

Betong recalled his emotional first time in New York and how he felt surreal when he saw Times Square. “Hindi ako natulog, pinuntahan ko na kaagad 'yung Times Square, 24 hours kasi na bukas.

“Grabe iba 'yung feeling, ang laki ng mga billboards na LED. Lalo na kapag gabi, ang ganda, very memorable talaga siya sa'kin,” he said.

Alden has nothing but love for New York City, he recounted how the city's diversity never failed to amaze him. “I thought magulo medyo. Gusto ko 'yung laid-back lang na relaxed na wala masyadong people, pero 'yung New York kasi, 'yung gulo niya, very beautifully orchestrated.

“So 'yung ang dami kong realizations upon being on Times Square. Mixed cultures and races kumbaga andoon lahat. I've always thought New York was very beautiful, and hindi naman ako nagkamali.”
