Derek Ramsay marriage null and void

Derek Ramsay is now legally single after his lawyer revealed that "he is no longer married to anyone."

Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay is "no longer married to anyone," says his lawyer who revealed that his previous marriage has long been declared null and void.

The issue was brought up on Derek's recent Instagram post, where a follower commented that it would be better for him and girlfriend Andrea Torres if his previous
marriage would be annulled.

Responding to the comment, the actor wrote: “I am dear.”

His answer shocked the online community and various assumptions and speculations regarding his comment have surfaced.

But his legal counsel, Atty. Joji Alonso, chimed in and confirmed that the actor's marriage has been declared null and void.

She wrote, “I just wanted to clarify that when @ramsayderek07 replied 'I am dear,' he wasn't referring to his state of being happy.

"He was confirming the fact that he is no longer married to anyone.

"His marriage has not been annulled. That is an incorrect term. His marriage has been declared null and void. #Peace.”

Atty. Joji did not specify to whom Derek was previously married.

However, it was previously reported that Derek was married to Mary Christine Jolly, mother of his 11-year-old son named Austin.

They reportedly exchanged “I Do's” in April 2002.
