Maggie Wilson's birthday trip to Egypt was cut short due to the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon due to COVID-19.

From the supposed 10-day trip, the former beauty queen-turned-TV host had only spent two days in Cairo so they could return to the Philippines immediately before the lockdown in Luzon.

Maggie celebrated her 31st birthday on March 15.

On her Instagram post, Maggie said, "We made the most of our trip despite the weather. As you can see, it was raining when we visited the pyramids. It rained the entire two days we were there.

"The roads were heavily flooded and there was a power and water outage in the entire city.

"BUT, we had an amazing time because my Tita Helly and Uncle Sherif took such good care of us."

After they left, Egypt also went in to total lockdown due to COVID-19.

At the end of her post, Maggie reminded her followers about the safety precautions to avoid further spread of the 2019 coronavirus.

She said, "I hope that you are all safe, at home, and enjoying time with your loved ones. So let's all cooperate, practice social distancing and pray that this whole thing blows over soon.

"Love you guys! Stay safe and well!"

The former Binibining Pilipinas World 2007 made noise this month after going nude on her birthday.
