Petra Mahalimuyak on attracting your office crush: â??Dapat talaga boys ang mag first move!â??

Ashley Rivera, more popularly known as Petra Mahalimuyak on YouTube will now be unleasing her hilarious antics on the big screen as she plays Shantu in My Lady Boss.

Petra describes her role as a “sexetary” of Evelyn (Marian Rivera), who has an enormous crush on Zach (Richard Gutierrez). The YouTube sensation shared her experiences in working with the film’s lead stars.

“’Nung una talaga, natakot ako kay Ate Marian, kasi marami akong naririnig na iba’t ibang tsismis. Hindi naman pala totoo lahat ‘yun because nakita ko ‘yung real her, and sobrang bait niya,” the budding comedienne exclaimed.

She added, “Binibigyan pa niya ako ng food, so siyempre okay sa akin ‘yun! Hindi siya nakakaintimidate and she was the first one who approached me, so hindi ko lang ‘yun inexpect from a big star like her.”

She also enjoyed working with Richard Gutierrez. She said, “Si Richard, he’s also nice. ‘Yung first few na mga shoots namin, hindi siya ganun ka-talkative. After a while, nagkuwe-kuwentuhan na kami. Ok naman, sobrang fun!”

Admittedly, Petra got really close to her on-screen officemates, namely Sef Cadayona, Jace Flores and Matet de Leon. She shared, “Sobrang saya namin! Halatang-halata ‘yung bonding namin. It’s real. We don’t have to act like we’re friends because we really are. Lalo na ‘pag nasa tent, ang dami naming kuwentuhan at inside jokes. Parang hindi kami officemates, parang family na talaga kami.”

We asked Petra about her take on office romance, which is heavily tackled in My Lady Boss. For her, “It is complicated lalo na kapag nagkalabuan na kayo. At the same time, you really can’t control your feelings, lalo na kapag may cute or hot diyan. You can follow your heart, but mag-isip isip ka rin. ‘Pag alam mong medyo delikado o kung may girlfriend, naku, huwag na! Issue ‘yan, teh!”

She also believes that when someone is really into you, they will find a way to get close to you. For ladies who want to get noticed by their office crush, Petra’s advice is to take it easy and be subtle.

She elaborated, “People might think na aggressive ako, pero siyempre suma-style din naman ako. Dinadaan ko rin sa eye contact, pa-cute, ganyan. Pero ‘yung guy dapat ‘yung lumapit kasi cool ako eh. Dapat talaga boys ang mag-first move! Bahala sila mag-respond! Nasa kanila ‘yan kung mag he-hello sila, kasi sakin naman, they’re always welcome.”
