Against the wishes of his parents who are forcing him to marry their business partner’s daughter, Justin – a rich, smart, confident mestizo from a private school in Manila (RICHARD GUTIERREZ) – pursues Cecille (ANGEL LOCSIN) - a lovely but simple scholar from a rural public school. In their bid to separate the two young lovers, Justin’s parents send their son to the United States to study. However, Justin is secretly able to take Cecille with him.
