Filipino commuters can now enjoy their favorite GMA programs on the road as GMA Network inked an exclusive partnership with Francisco Motor Corporation on May 2.
Under the partnership, GMA Network will provide and install digital devices to the initial batch of 3,000 new “Francisco Passenger Jeepneys” (FPJ) which will enable passengers to watch Kapuso programs with clearer signal even while in transit.
The contract signing at the GMA Network Center was led by GMA Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon, GMA President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., GMA Films and GMA Worldwide President Atty. Anna Teresa M. Gozon, GMA First Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Concurrent Head for Program Support Regie C. Bautista, with Francisco Motor Corp. Chairman and CEO Elmer B. Francisco.
Duavit warmly welcomed the timely partnership with the company. “Mapapanood na tayo ng ating mga Kapuso maski tumatakbo ang sasakyan nang hindi nag-iiba ang kalidad ng pinapanood sa TV,” Duavit said.
On the other hand, Francisco acknowledged the role of the Network in providing quality entertainment for the Filipino passengers. “One of the government’s requirements is dapat mayroong TV for entertainment. When we installed the digital box prototype in early April, we found out that [signal reception] was very clear, maganda,” Francisco said. (
