GMA Network Chief Marketing Officer Lizelle G. Maralag has been named to Campaign Asia-Pacific's APAC Power List 2026, which honors the region's top 50 marketers. She is one of the only three Filipinos to make the list and is among the 23 women to be awarded the distinction this year.
A respected leader in the Philippine media and advertising industry, Maralag has played a pivotal role in driving GMA Network’s revenue growth and further advancing marketing innovations across the diverse platforms of digital, broadcast, and its local and international channels.
Maralag’s strategic leadership has earned GMA Network the distinction of being the most awarded Philippine broadcast and media company in both local and international marketing competitions. In 2025, the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines recognized Maralag's contributions to the industry with the Media Icon Award, honoring her role in elevating standards of creativity, innovation, commercial impact, strategic thinking, and professionalism.
In 2023, Maralag's leadership in successful collaborations with brands and industry partners was also instrumental to GMA Network being named Media Network of the Year at the prestigious PANata Awards of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA).
In 2019, her commitment to using her position as a media practitioner to create a positive social impact geared towards youth welfare won her the Hildegard Award for Women in Media and Communication (Advertising category).
Before joining GMA Network in 2010, Maralag built a distinguished career spanning more than two decades as Managing Director of Starcom Mediavest Group Philippines, while concurrently holding the position of Chairperson of Publicis Groupe Media Philippines and overseeing Zenith Optimedia Philippines. She continues to hold the distinction of having won the highest number of Media Agency of Record pitches during her tenure as Managing Director of Starcom Mediavest Group Philippines from 2000 to 2009.
Maralag holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and pursued further studies at INSEAD in Singapore. From 2008 to 2009, she served as the Founding Co-Chairperson of the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines. She also held leadership roles in the media industry, including Chairman of the Radio Research Council Adjudication & Review Board and Director of the TV Research Council. She continues to be a juror in various local and regional advertising and marketing industry award-giving bodies, most recently the Asia-Pacific Advertising Effectiveness Awards (Effies).
Maralag's inclusion in the prestigious APAC Power List 2026, which spans markets across Singapore, China, Hong Kong, India, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, underscores her enduring influence on the media and marketing landscape and contributions to elevating Philippine media on the regional stage.
