LIST: The beauty investments Barbie Forteza swears by

By Cara Emmeline Garcia

Sorry for the pun, but Barbie Forteza is a living, breathing Barbie doll.

When she's not taping, Barbie loves to take the time to relax and definitely pamper herself to regain her one hundred percent so she's ready to roll once taping sessions start.

“'Pag nasa bahay, 'pag ako at alam kong wala akong trabaho, wala akong ginagawa talaga,” she confesses to GMANetwork.com

“So feeling ko, parang reset button ko 'yung free day ko na parang, haaahhh.

“Ngayon na medyo wala na akong ginagawa, I have more time for myself.

“Nakapagpa-pamper na ako, may time akong magpa-fresh, umawra, magpa-lashes, at magpanails!”

With that in mind, what are the beauty investments she swears by?

As it turns out, these are simply her lashes, skincare, and hair care.

Keralift for lashes

“Unang-una itong eyelashes,” she points to her newly curled and raised lashes.

“Ang pretty no? KeraLift ang tawag dito and it's by Strokes by Momoi Supe.”

According to the Strokes website, KeraLift is a procedure that lifts each lash for that natural eyelash curve and will have you forget about eyelash curlers. Strokes also guarantee that the procedure is free of thioglycolic acid, a corrosive perm chemical, and will last for six to eight weeks.

Hypoallergenic skincare

If you haven't noticed by now, Barbie looks just as pretty without makeup. Her skin, free from acne and it's about as poreless as a baby's skin.

On her vlog last October 2018, she shared with her followers her after-work routine that highlights her favorite skincare line - Clinique.

She says, “Skincare kasi ay talagang importante.

What makes Clinique her favorite brand?

Barbie's makeup artist, Fatima Mercado, shares that it all boils down to the brand's ingredients.

Upon research, the skincare brand founded in 1968 promises that its products are free from parabens, phthalates, fragrance, and any allergens or irritants that could harm the skin. So it's definitely good for your skin and the brand even promises to reduce its carbon footprint to zero by 2020 - talk about beauty with a heart.

Hair treatments

Like most Filipinas, Barbie loves to sport her black hair long and straight.

To take care of it, she steers away from any coloring and invests in some good ol' hair spa after every project.

The actress also conditions her mane to compensate for the daily damage it undergoes from hairstyling.

Deep conditioning your hair prevents it from further damage and it helps impart moisture and elasticity in each hair strand giving it the shine most girls covet.

How about you, what are the beauty investments you think are worth putting your hard-earned money to?
