Achieve Andrea Torres's healthy glow by using these 6 skincare products

By Jansen Ramos

While others indulge themselves with either collecting bags or shoes, Andrea Torres spoils herself with skincare products.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com. she reveals that it is something that she truly enjoys and considers as her greatest pleasure.

"Na-e-enjoy ko siya kasi hoarder ako ng mga skincare products.

"Parang ang sarap lang talaga sa pakiramdam na i-spoil mo 'yung sarili mo kahit 15 minutes lang ng araw na 'yun," The Better Woman star says.

With the latest innovations in facial treatments, Andrea still swears by following a skincare routine to effectively unleash her glowing skin.

"Fifteen years old ako no'ng nag-start ako magpa-derma pero ayaw ko ng masyadong maraming ginagawa sa face ko.

"So cleaning lang talaga, hindi na ko nagpapa-steam or kung anu-ano pa, pero mahaba 'yung skincare routine ko everyday, marami akong nilalagay," the 29-year-old actress recounts.

Fortunately for us, Andrea shares the products she is currently using to achieve her healthiest glow:

Essence

Essence, or commonly known as the "miracle water," has been considered as an essential part in Korean skincare routines. It is a lightweight and hydrating liquid that contain high concentrations of active ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and sodium hyaluronate, meant to nourish the skin and prime it to effectively absorb subsequent products, like oil and moisturizer.

Face oil

For added hydration, it's best to put face oil next to essence. Oils are emollients as it makes the skin smoother and softer, and they form a protective layer for the skin cells. They are usually packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals.

Eye cream

Andrea swears by eye creams since they help in de-puffing her tired eyes after a full day of taping. They are formulated to prevent aging around the eye, like fine lines, dark circles, and wrinkles. The most effective eye creams contain hyaluronic acid and ceramides, retinol, neuropeptides, and vitamin C and E.

Moisturizer

Moisturizer is a vital part in Andrea's skincare routine as it seals the products she has applied previously in her skin. It does not just hydrates the skin but soothes, fight free radical damage, and protect the skin from the harsh environment.

Why is moisturizer better over makeup?

Sun screen

Whether it's summer or not, one should apply sun screen as it absorbs the UV rays before they penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. According to healthline.com, "some sunscreens include avobenzone, oxybenzone, and para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which are ingredients used to absorb the sun's rays."

Vitamins

Healthy skin can be achieved if you are also getting enough nutrients.

For Andrea, she makes sure to take her vitamins every day not just for her skin, but for her overall health.

The vitamins you should give your skin include Vitamins A, C, E, D, K, B3, and B5, as well as choline and folic acid.
