Cop Janine Gutierrez's NYFW makeup looks

By Cara Emmeline Garcia

On September 8th, Kapuso royalty Janine Gutierrez made her New York Fashion Week debut with her head held up high, heels that skyrocketed, and beauty looks that killed the runway.

Which begs the question, how do we achieve that in our makeup looks now that the holidays are coming up?

Fortunately, her makeup artist Anthea Bueno dishes out some of her tricks to achieving Janine's looks on Instagram and we've collected them all for you perfect for the upcoming holiday parties.

Day 1: Peachy

Achieve Janine's peachy look by going for “coral and orange hues for eyeshadow.” And then, don't forget to pair it with a strong eyebrow and tight line your upper lash line with a pencil liner to create an illusion of dark, dense lash roots.

Finally, sweep a bit of bronzer and highlighter and add a bit of lip gloss to complete the whole look.

Day 2: Yellow eyeshadow

For the second day, Anthea went for a subtle no-makeup-makeup look by highlighting Janine's healthy skin. She then added “a wash of yellow on the lids and strong brows” in the eyes.

The final step is also as simple by going for neutral lip and sweeping highlighter in the cheekbones, cupids bow, tip of the nose, and around the temples.

Day 3: Ombre lips

A cool outfit calls for an amplified makeup look and Janine served the runways of NYFW with an ombre lip.

To do this, Anthea applied lipstick to the center of Janine's lips and blurred the edges using a concealer. She added a bit more color on the center and then topped it off with a nude gloss for a shiny finish.

For the eyes, Anthea swept the same yellow eyeshadow from the day before and then gave Janine's cheeks a hint of blush.

Day 4: Pink eyeliner

Who said eyeliners should only be black? Janine served looks by swapping eyeshadows with colored eyeliners to give a modern retro feel to a somewhat classic makeup trick.

Anthea then made sure to tight line Janine's eyes and made it the focus by sticking with a matte nude lippie and a slight sweep of blush on the cheeks.

Day 5: Classic with a twist

One can never go wrong with a black cat eye, it's the classic go-to of every beauty addict.

But for a twist, Janine opted to add a bit of line in the corners of her eyes for that Cleopatra-feel! Before the eyeliner, she swept a bronze cream eyeshadow all over her lids and tight lined her lash line.

Day 6: Gunmetal

For the last day, Anthea went a different route and showed Janine's edgier side by giving the actress the classic smokey eye.

She swept a gunmetal cream eyeshadow all over the lid and the lower lashline and then added a black eyeshadow in the crease of the eye. She then tight lined the upper and lower lash line to complete the eye makeup.

And then, top it off with a matte nude lipstick to make the eyes the focus of the whole look

Slay your upcoming parties by taking a cue from these makeup looks from our Kapuso actress. It's a bit experimental with new hues and it's not as difficult to wear as it seems. Not only is it your best bet for a dramatic eye look, but it will definitely make those peepers stand out in photos too!
