Herlene Budol shares funny story about her skincare routine before joining showbiz
Herlene Budol is the newest ambassador of a beauty and health brand!
The Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up signed a contract with the beauty brand, Rejuviant, to become the newest celebrity ambassador of its Premium Cocoberry Body Wash and Premium Cocoberry Instaglow Lotion.
According to its CEO, Chique Ballon, they chose Herlene because of her porcelain-like skin and good character, which is important for a celebrity endorser.
"Kasi po ang ano namin is kutis porselana," she said.
"Si Miss Herlene po, kahit po morena, hindi naman po lagi tayong maputi at Pilipino po tayo. Si Miss Herlene po maganda rin po ang kutis niya kahit morena. Very down to earth din po si Miss Herlene." she said.
At the media conference after her contract signing, the Kapuso actress and beauty queen revealed why she said yes to the brand.
"Una sa pera," Herlene said in jest.
She then seriously explained that she has tried the products to make sure that the body wash and lotion are good and effective before she endorses these.
"Pero, siyempre, bago ako um-oo, sinubukan ko muna yung mga product. Nag-survey muna ako sa mga review ng ibang gumamit din.”
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Pinay beauty queen shared a funny story when asked about her skincare routine.
She laughingly answered, "Dapat di ka madalas maligo."
Then, Herlene recalled her routine before she joined showbiz.
"Dati talaga, hindi ko favorite maligo! Di ba, lalo na ngayon may bagyo-bagyo. Tigil-tigilan n'yo ako, tawa-tawa kayo diyan, e, kayo din. Kapag naulan lang, ay, perfect walang ligo. Nag-iinit din ako ng tubig kapag may emergency na lakad.
"Pero hanggang ngayon wala pala akong secret [routine], e. Open book kasi ako sa lahat ng ginagawa ko, kung ano ang ginagamit ko Dati talaga, sure ako dun, hindi ako palaligo. Ngayon, medyo masipag na ako nang konti," she laughed.
Herlene then thanked her new endorsement for supplying her with body wash and lotion.
She said, "Ngayon, parang sinisipag na ako kasi mayroon na akong body wash and lotion."
Herlene Budol is set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Planet International pageant which will be held in Kampala, Uganda on November 19.
