Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi is already turning heads days before the coronation.
It's still a little over a week before Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is set to compete for the Miss Universe 2022 crown, but the beauty queen is already turning heads even at the registration.
In a post from the Miss Universe Philippines Instagram, the organization posted a photo of Celeste wearing a sparkly purple dress, along with a caption that declared Celeste as “pretty in purple.” In the photo, Celeste has her sash on as she stands beside the sashes of the other pageant competitors.
The photo is just the latest from Celeste, who recently arrived in New Orleans after spending the Christmas and New Year holidays in Los Angeles. Both her and the Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account posted photos of her in a striking red outfit, along with her multiple pieces of luggage.
Upon arriving in New Orleans, Celeste also posted a few photos of her in a couple of outfits, such as a sparkly ensemble from Perry Tabora and an all-black ensemble from the same designer.
Even weeks before the pageant, the Miss Universe Philippines organization has been calling on Filipinos to help Celeste “carve her path” to the crown by voting on the Miss Universe app.
On January 15, Celeste will be competing for the newly revealed “Force for Good” crown. Made by jewelry and luxury watch company Mouawad, the crown features 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds.
According to new Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip, the new crown is valued at almost $6 million, or Php335,133,000 based on current exchange rates.
Before flying to the United States, Celeste spent her time performing advocacy work, visiting communities in Lanao del Norte alongside the non-government organization Save the Children.
Months before Christmas, Celeste helped repackage relief goods to “truly kickstart the holiday season” for families that have been victims of a fire in Sampaloc, Manila.
