Carla Abellana shows her foodie side in 'Del Monte Kitchenomics'

It seems that Carla Abellana has done it all, then another projects that is different from all that she has done in the past lands on her lap. Now, she's the host of Del Monte Kitchenomics alongside Chef Jackie Ang Po, and this time, she's going to show us her foodie side.

At the bloggers conference of the show, Carla shared that she learned how to cook by watching and helping her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. She also said that she loves cooking because she sees it as an act of love in one's effort to create something their loved ones would enjoy.

Being a busy bee, Carla loves making pasta dishes because they are easy to prepare but well-enjoyed by her family. “Spaghetti is my favorite dish to cook, as well as Carbonara, so either of the two is my specialty,” she said.

Carla also knows how to adjust her recipes according to her family's varying tastes. “I prefer using the Italian style sauce, but sometimes I add a little sweet style sauce because I have a younger brother and two nieces who prefer their Spaghetti sweet. Sometimes I add a little tomato paste too,” she shared.

The versatile Kapuso actress is excited for the show and sees it as an opportunity for her to enhance her cooking skill. She said,  “I really enjoy cooking and I want to be better at it. I know it’s going to be a fun learning experience.”

Watch out for Carla in the new season of Del Monte Kitchenomics, every Wednesday and Saturday before Eat Bulaga, and every Sunday before Sunday All Stars.
