Child Wonder Marc Justine Alvarez

Marc Justine Alvarez is boy wonder at age 8. He can draw, he can sing, and he can act, while melting your heart with his sweet smile.

Best known in the fantaserye “Indio”, Marc was recently part of the multi-awarded indie film “Transit”, an entry in the Cinemalaya 2013.

Was starring in a movie easier than acting for his regular series “One Day Isang Araw”? He replies “Pareho lang sila na madali.” After all, for a normal 8-year old, memorizing long lines is supposed to be hard. Not for Marc, who is very patient with learning. “Pinagaralan ko yung script ng isang buwan.”

In the movie, his character speaks Hebrew. Marc’s family and friends are always supportive, with his uncles and mom’s friend helping him study the script. “Dinidikta saken lahat, tapos gagayahin ko.” We asked Marc to give us a sample of his memorized lines, and he confidently recited it to us.

For “Transit”, Marc and his co-stars won a Certificate of Recognition for Ensemble Acting, Audience Choice Award, Netpac Special Award, and Best Film Award, among others.

Marc is only 8 years old and has already achieved great things in the entertainment industry. Everyone is excited to see what else Marc will be offering in the future.

Catch Marc as Sunny in GMA’s weekly children’s series “One Day Isang Araw”. His fellow charming co-stars include Jillian Ward (Daisy), Joshua Uy (Uno), and Milkcah Nacion (Isang). It airs every Saturday, after 24 Oras Weekend.
