Carla Abellana corrects Wikipedia entry about her

By Neil Celeste Rara

The “My Husband’s Lover” leading lady posted on her Instagram account @carlaangeline what looked like her yearbook photo which included a paragraph of information about her. It also showed her course “Psychology” printed in bold font.

In the caption, Carla stated: “Bachelor of ARTS po degree ko and not BS. I graduated CUM LAUDE po, not Summa Cum Laude, from DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY-MANILA po, not CSB. Thank you! Just setting the record straight for the nth time po. Don't believe everything you read in Wikipedia. Tsk tsk. Thank you!”

But a quick search on Wikipedia using the keywords “Carla Abellana” points to a page which actually states – unless it was updated after Carla posted the photo -- that she indeed graduated from the De La Salle University-Manila and that she graduated cum laude. What Wikipedia got wrong was the kind of bachelor’s degree. It  stated that Carla took up BS Psychology, when in fact she took AB (Bachelor of Arts in) Psychology.

Of course, no website is perfect and Wikipedia is no exception.  But what do these mistakes – Summa Cum Laude instead of Cum Laude and Bachelor of Science instead of Bachelor of Arts – prove? It’s that many people think Carla Abellana is smarter than what her professors had thought! Just kidding!

Meanwhile, Carla and the rest of the cast of the primetime series are gearing up for a big event happening on October 12, the “One More Try: The MHL Concert.” The concert will cap the show’s very successful run after it airs its finale episode on Friday, October 11.

As the finale nears, viewers begin to speculate on how its story will end. Will Vincent end up with Lally or Eric?  Some conceive a tragic ending, while others hope for reconciliation between the wife and the lover.

We will all find out the answer on October 11.

“My Husband’s Lover” airs from Monday to Friday, 9:30pm on GMA Telebabad.
