Doug and Chesca Kramer share their love story and show their happy home tomorrow on 'Follow That Star'

It was a typical love-at-first-sight story for PBA player Doug Kramer and actress/model Chesca Kramer.

“Doug and I met in Boracay, 2003. We started off as friends even if we both admired each other from a distance,” started Chesca.

“Later on, we met up in Rockwell and I’ll never forget na by the time I saw her talagang napamura ako sabi ko, ‘ganda naman nun,’” replied Doug.

Chesca also admitted being physically attracted to the towering 6’5” basketball star. “S’yempre una mong makikita pag nakita mo si Doug, matangkad siya, pogi siya. So ‘yun ang una kong nakita. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung totoo, sabi ko ‘uy gwapo to ah,’ but when I got to know him and nung nakita ko na he’s very close to his family, talagang very family oriented siya tapos mahal na mahal niya yung mga kapatid niya hindi niya pinapabayaan tapos ‘yung love niya for his mom, his dad.”

And the rest, as they say, was history. Five years after that serendipitous day in Boracay, Doug and Chesca became Mr. and Mrs. Kramer and started building their family and house, happily and prayerfully.

The Kramer family will open the doors of their home to the viewers of Follow That Star tomorrow, December 7. While we will see their modern two-storey house, the couple revealed that it took a while before they had a place of their own.

“Nagstart muna kami sa pagre-rent ng maliit na house na condo and then naging town house until nabuntis s’ya ng 3rd baby na hindi na kakasya sa kahit ano’ng townhouse kaya kailangan bahay na kasi baka magkaroon pa ng sampung baby mansion kailangan,” Doug joked.

Their home is not only beautifully constructed with open spaces, high ceiling, and tasteful fixtures; Doug and Chesca are also delighted to note that it is very child-friendly as they put into mind the safety of their three kids Scarlett, Kendra, and Gavin.

“Meron kaming safety gates para walang malaglag na bata… We have a lot of mats. Kasi ayaw namin na pag nalaglag sila sa semento agad so nilagyan namin ni Doug ng mats,” shared Chesca.

Everything in the Kramer household is properly in place, except for one: Doug’s closet.

“Mas malaki pa ang closet ni Gavin kaysa sa akin kasi ‘yung walk-in closet namin 10% lang ‘yung sakin, sa kanya (Chesca) na lahat,” Doug exposed.

“Save that for later, honey! Stop complaining!,” Chesca countered.

Their house also features a lot of “treat,” so to speak, like a cinema and pool. But what really are their most treasured possessions are their children, who are all too adorable to take for granted. Their eldest daughter Kendra is now 4 years old, Scarlett 2, and Gavin, 10 months.

“Each one has their own special times in my life when they’re all born but s’yempre the first time you realized na parang, ‘wow, I’m a dad,’ and she’s a girl and I have to make her alaga talaga and this girl I will treat like a princess to the utmost,” expressed the proud Dad.

“When I became a wife and a mother I realized that I’ve found my place in this world. Now I’ve found something that I’m good at that I really enjoy,” confessed the equally beaming Mom.
