Jasmine Curtis-Smith was one of the speakers for “You, Me, Empathy,” a seminar held last February 17 at the Quezon City Sports Club under AIESEC. The seminar aims to develop empathetic leaders for mental health.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith brightly greeted the audience of “You, Me, Empathy” as she narrated how she learned how to befriend herself and have more positive thoughts.
Jasmine said she's very open to talking about her mental health journey, she said, “I think it's about time we start being open.”
Jasmine said reading books helped her regain her peace of mind. She recommended the book "A Life Less Stressed: the five pillars of health and wellness" by Ron Ehrlich.
Jasmine's boyfriend, Jeff Ortega was present during the seminar and showed full support for his girlfriend.
Speakers from different fields were also present during the seminar, (from left) Jacqueline Kressner, Bettina Jose, and Dr. Ron Ressureccion also gave insight on being more empathetic to others while still prioritizing one's mental health.
Jasmine introduced herself to the audience, how she started showbiz early and the pressure it sometimes brought to her.
The 'Sahaya' actress said she wants to create more awareness for mental health and lessen the stigma that comes along with it.
