Kiray Celis writes a heartwarming birthday message for her mom Meriam
Kapuso comedienne Kiray Celis took to social media to greet her mom Meriam on her birthday on Wednesday, May 24.
On Instagram, Kiray posted some of her mother's lovely photos taken at a hotel in Manila.
In her caption, Kiray expressed how she missed her mommy Meriam on her special day.
Despite not being present on her natal day due to work, Kiray made sure to provide her mom a place where she could enjoy her birthday together with their other family members.
"Mama... happy happy birthday! Naiiyak tuloy ako.. Wala man ako ngayon sa kaarawan mo dahil may work ako. Kailangan kumayod kasi para sa'yo rin 'to. Hehehe. Sana masaya ka diyan. Naghanda naman ako ng lugar para mag-enjoy ka at lechon na paborito mo. I love you, Ma. Miss na miss na kita," she wrote in her caption.
In 2022, Kiray also surprised her mom with a set of custom jewelry and a newly-built three-story house.
According to Kiray, her mom would always tell her to buy gold as an investment and reserve asset since its value never depreciates. She also proudly mentioned that the house was designed by her father.
"Laging sinasabi sa'kin ni mama nung bata pa ako, kapag may nagtanong daw sa'kin ano gusto kong regalo, sabihin ko daw ginto. Para iwas-usog tapos 'pag wala kaming pera, pwede daw masanla. Tumataas pa value habang tumatagal. Which is totoo naman.
"Kaya eto ako, eto ang regalo ko sa kanya. Kwintas na may picture naming dalawa, isang singsing na may initial niya at kwintas na may diamonds. I love you, Mama!" she captioned in her post.
