Despite being a public figure, Sparkada heartthrob Kim Perez sees to it that he protects the private life of those closest to him, especially his family.

In a chance interview with Kim during the Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko online media conference held on October 4, the promising Kapuso actor stated that he is really careful on what he shares or posts online particularly his personal life.

He told GMANetwork.com, “Dati wala ako pakialam, minsan naka-sando lang,” Kim said. ”Pero ngayon, parang iba na parang may pino-project ka ng [image]. When it comes naman sa mga fans, ako mas conscious ako na i-share 'yung family pics sa mga [social media accounts].”

The actor shared that his family is conservative and he makes it clear to his fans to leave them alone.

Kim explained, “Kasi, ayoko lang na nai-invade sila, 'yung family ko kasi conservative talaga sila. Hindi sila loud, like 'yung ibang family na ganiyan. Sila kasi, mas gusto nila 'yung tahimik lang.”

“Kasi, 'yung iba talaga ina-add na 'yung family ko, parang [yeah] nandiyan sila to support, pero ayaw [ng family ko] na iinvade na 'yung life 'di ba,” he added.

“'Yung boundary na ginagawa ko naman sinasabi ko naman na hanggang dito lang tayo. Mahal ko kayo, pero respect my private life 'di ba. Pero, may mga naman fans ako na pinagkakatiwalaan or confidante na: this is me, this me. I can manage naman.”

Since being launched as a Sparkada member last April 2022, Kim landed several big projects like the primetime series Hearts on Ice starring Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega.

This time around, he will be part of the new story of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko that will return on October 7 on Sabado Star Power sa gabi.

He is playing the role of Marty in "Captain Kitten."
