Diego Gutierrez takes a moment to remember their late loved ones and their family.
The year 2025 marks a somber chapter in Philippine showbiz, with the passing of several beloved industry icons.
Among the most heartbreaking deaths were those of three veteran stars: Pilita Corrales, Nora Aunor, and Ricky Davao.
More than just celebrities, they were also parents, grandparents, and cherished family members, all connected through one extended family.
In a recent Instagram post, Diego Gutierrez honored their memories by sharing a series of photos from the wakes and gravesites of the late stars.
Also seen in the post were his sister Janine Gutierrez and other relatives, showing strength and unity as they comforted one another in their grief.
“How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,” Diego simply captioned.
Fans filled the comments section with messages of love and support. Actress Melissa Avelino also sent her condolences and prayers to the bereaved family.
Asia's Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales passed away on April 12, followed just days later by Superstar Nora Aunor. Both were posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit, the highest national honor given to individuals for their exceptional contributions to Philippine culture and nation-building.
On May 2, fans and the family were again in mourning when actor-director Ricky Davao died at the age of 63.
Pilita and Nora were the grandmothers in Janine Gutierrez's family, while Ricky Davao was the former husband of Jackie Lou Blanco and Janine's fun, supportive uncle.
