Singer Ashley Diaz comes from a renowned showbiz family. Her father is action star Joko Diaz, while her grandfather is another legendary action star, Paquito Diaz.
However, Ashley wants to be known for her own skills and talents instead of "the daughter of Joko."
She did admit that she tried her luck in show business because she was inspired by her father's long career.
She wants to try acting like her father and grandfather before her but she prefers to hone her skills first.
Ashley's real talent is singing which she credits to her mother Abigail.
She actually signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency at the tender age of 14.
She released her first single, "Pag-ibig Na Ito" under Viva Records in March last year.
Ashley continues attending school and plans to finish her studies as a promise to her father.
She recently moved up after graduating from Grade 9 last year.
She attends classes on weekdays and goes to acting workshops during the weekend.
