Alfred Vargas and wife Yasmine are expecting Baby No. 4!

It looks like Alfredo Cristiano Vargas IV, the youngest and unico hijo of Alfred Vargas and his wife Yasmine, is going to be a kuya after more than five years of being the "bunso" in the family!
The AraBella actor and public servant, who also have two beautiful and talented daughters named Alexandra Milan and Aryana Cassandra, made the big announcement on his Instagram on July 8.
The good-looking father wrote, "With immense gratitude to God, the Vargas family is elated to share that my Amore, @yasmine_vargas2307 is now 13 weeks pregnant with our fourth child! ❤️😊🙏🏽"
While the gender of the child is yet to be known, as an ultrasound for that is usually done between 18 and 22 weeks, Alfred is already beaming with pride, not only because his young family is growing, but also because he's moved and awed by Yasmine's courage and dedication to carry another baby.
"God has blessed me with a wonderful life. This is mainly because He has not only given me a beautiful wife, inside and out, but a brave one as well. Yasmine is truly a fighter."
In the same Instagram post, Alfred revealed that Yasmine, his "amore," did not exactly have easy pregnancies in the past.
"Kung alam lang nila, Amore ko, ang matinding paghihirap na pinagdaanan at pinagdaraanan mo…
"It's her 4th pregnancy suffering with Hyperemesis Gravidarum all day with severe nausea and vomiting."
For those of you who don't know, Hyperemesis gravidarum, as the website medlineplus.gov defines it, is a condition marked by "extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy." Not to be confused with morning sickness, which is a mild form of nausea and vomiting, Hyperemesis gravidarum is said to cause dehydration, which then leads to "weight loss" and "electrolyte imbalances."
Alfred opened up about the difficulties that Yasmine dealt with---and could possibly deal with again---during preganancy.
"She can't even drink water nang hindi nagsusuka after. She lost several kgs in the first 3 weeks."
Aside from the extreme vomiting, she's also going through this pregnancy with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, a condition in which a person experiences excessive anxiety and worry, at times for no apparent reasons.
Alfred explained, "This is her 2nd pregnancy with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). And she experiences relentless anxiety and panic attacks (without any triggers).
"Bedrest siya buong first trimester. She even had multiple days with IV just to get enough vitamins and treatment."
He then asked his friends and followers to offer a prayer for Yasmine (and their Baby No. 4) to have the strength and spirit to pull through.
"We are hoping that things will get better each day that passes. So far, with God's grace and the reliable support system that we have (doctors, experts, friends and family), Yasmine is able to steadfastly beat every challenge that arrives.
"We humbly ask for your prayers for Yasmine's and our little baby's great perfect health and well-being.
"We're also counting on your support and understanding on this journey of ours as we welcome the newest member of the family this coming January."
Before ending his lengthy Instagram post, Alfred did not let the bad overshadow the good. He said that he has chosen to remain optimistic about all this, as he had in the previous pregnancies. He is thankful that the family is being blessed again with another bundle of joy.
"Truly, family is love. And our family just got bigger. There's bigger love to share soon!
Alfred closed his post like a love letter to his wife.
"To the mother of my children (now four children!), Yasmine, I love you with all my heart. The world is much a better place with mighty mothers like you!
"I'm here for you always. Mahal na mahal kita.
"Love, Alf."
