Actress and first-time mom Kris Bernal has been sharing her pregnancy journey on her social media accounts.
Kris was even brave enough to share with her followers some details of the difficult pregnancy and birth that she experienced with her first child, Hailee Lucca.
In a vlog that ran a little over 23 minutes, she chronicled her long and painful labor.
"SHE'S FINALLY HERE! After the longest pregnancy and hardest labor, we made it, we survived! I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy girl, HAILEE LUCCA BERNAL CHOI. Sharing with you the MOST RAW, UNFILTERED, WALANG KAARTEHAN, REALITY of my birth and recovery at the hospital! ANG HIRAP PALA! The MOST PAINFUL thing I've ever felt in my entire existence! Pregnancy and birth has changed me to be the best version of myself! How powerful is my body for everything it went through!" Kris wrote on the description of her video.
She and her husband Perry Choi remain grateful that even after some complications during birth, their baby daughter Hailee Lucca is healthy.
"Hailee Lucca is a precious gift from above! Thankful to the Lord for giving us the opportunity to be parents! We are over the moon!!" Kris added.

At the hospital, Kris's cervical dilation was between one to two centimeters. She has a second cervical sweep done to start labor.
At 5:00 p.m. that day, her doctor recommended her to walk around to regulate her contractions and Kris got emotional due to pain and fear.
Kris was in pain as she experienced contractions every five minutes. Her husband Perry Choi was her pillar of strength and also occasionally tried to lighten up the mood with jokes.
Kris was transferred to the delivery room for fetal monitoring at 9:06 p.m. but was brought back to the recovery room at 11:15 p.m. as her dilation was only at three centimeters even after 16 hours of active labor.
She could not sleep because she was still experiencing contractions every five minutes.
On August 15, she was transferred to the birthing room and received an epidural injection. Kris's dilation was at four centimeters after 28 hours of active labor.
Her doctor decided to give her an artificial rupture after a few hours. This process involves break the amniotic sac to speed up labor and encourage the dilation of her cervix.
Kris decided to go for a caesarian section as her dilation was only at five centimeters--half of what what it needs to be--even after a long labor period.
Kris and Perry finally welcomed their first child Hailee Luca on August 15.
Due to some complication of the difficult labor and birth, Kris lost 1.9 liters of blood and has to have a transfusion of two blood bags.
The first time mom is happy to breastfeed.
Kris spend one week at the hospital and was able to go home on August 21.
