Losing a dad, especially when you're a dad yourself, is not easy. You lose not only a person that you can confide in but also a person who can understand and be there for you. When veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez passed away recently, his son, Janno Gibbs requested that they be able to grieve privately.
Friends from in and out of the entertainment industry as well as fans have sent their condolences. Janno's friend and fellow celebrity, Ogie Alcasid, revealed in a comment he posted on his friend's Instagram page that the late actor has always been a hero to Janno.
“Naalala ko lahat ng kwento mo tungkol sa kanya. He was your hero and your no 1 fan too. He was so proud of you,” Ogie shared.
Janno and Ronaldo, or tito Ron to many, have shared numerous bonding moments over the years, the most recent one being part of a movie titled, 'Tatay and TinTin,' which was the last project they've done together. This was also Janno's directorial debut.

In a post he shared after his father passed away, Janno posted a picture of him and Ronaldo, calling him "the sweetest dad ever" in the caption.
The day before his birthday on November 27, Janno greeted his father, expressing how joyous it is to share a screen with him in a last project together.
Janno also mentioned how it was a privilege for him to have directed Ronaldo. On the other hand, the senior Gibbs expressed how proud he is of his son in an Instagram post.
Ronaldo mentioned in a post how he and Janno had fun doing their movie titled 'Tatay and TinTin,' which was the latter's directorial debut.
Janno took not only his family-- his wife Bing Loyzaga and their kids, Chi and Gab--for a dinner and movie, but he also made sure to have his father with them to enjoy in this dinner-movie date.
In a video Ronaldo posted on his Instagram, Janno commented how he became a driver for him for a day and having a conversation.
Ronaldo once posted a video of him and Janno singing together and enjoying the moment.
Aside from singing, Ronaldo and Janno are great food buddies as the former mentioned that they share a love for each order of food they made.
Janno and Ronaldo made sure that they had a lot of father-and-son time to talk, bond, or sometimes, just catch up with each other.
