Vina Morales supports daughter Ceana if she wants to join showbiz

“Dalaga na siya. Kabarkada ko na!”
Vina Morales proudly introduced her 14-year-old daughter, Ceana, to the entertainment press, including GMANetwork.com. Ceana accompanied her singer-actress mom at the premiere night of her movie Sunny last week.
In an interview on the red carpet, Vina revealed that she and her ex-partner Cedric Lee are in a good relationship.
She said, “I'm very happy to announce that we're co-parenting. We're civil. Okay na.”
Vina also said that they're maintaining this, “For the sake of our daughter.”
She added, “Na-realize ko noong pandemic parang, you know, forgiveness talaga, e. You have to forgive. Life is short. It's also for her sake. If she's happy, we're all happy, I'm happy. We're just enjoying our journey.”
Meanwhile, in an separate interview with Vina during the movie press conference, she was asked if Ceana is interested in joining showbiz.
She answered, “Before, nahihiya siya kapag tinatanong. Pero ngayon, nakikinig lang ako kapag tinatanong siya, 'Well, I don't know with mommy,' ganun na siya. Ako, sabi ko, huwag na muna siguro.
“But kasi, napapanood niya, 'yon ang kinalakihan niya… ako, si Shaina [Magdayao]. May possibility kasi she also sings. Siguro kailangan ng mga workshop if she really wants it.
“Kasi ako, bata pa lang ako, alam ko na talaga kung ano ang gusto ko. Gusto ko talagang maging singer at saka artista ako. So, noong eight years old ako noon, kumakanta ako sa choir kasi alam ko na gusto ko talagang kumanta.
“Hindi pa siya sure kung ano ang gusto niya, so ayaw ko siyang i-push. Unlike ako, may determination talaga ako na gusto ko talagang maging singer. Yun na, tuluy-tuloy na, pursigido ako noong bata ako.
“For now, sa kanya, nagwe-weigh pa siya kung ano ang gusto niya.”
Aside from this, Vina also hopes that Ceana finishes her studies.
“Kasi, 'yan ang na-miss ko, e. Hindi ako nakapagtapos ng college kasi, alam mo yun, I was busy working already nine years old pa lang ako. So, gusto kong matapos niya muna,” the celebrity mom said.
She concluded, “After that, siguro kung may opportunity, fully support naman ako sa kanya. Even if she's studying and purisigido siya, kasi ano naman ang magagawa ng parents but to support kung ano yung dream ng anak nila.”
